If you are looking for a serene waterfront getaway just minutes from all the action that the Maine midcoast offers, Day's End is for you. Located on Maple Juice Cove, a well protected cove used by world class sailors every summer, Day's End provides the boating enthusiast with a deep water mooring N43-58.53 min / W69-16.93 min. In the summer months the water is warm enough for swimming and be sure to take advantage of the fishing and kayaking available to you just out your back door. If nature is your thing, sit by the 9 foot picture window or rear deck and watch the Bald Eagles soaring over the cove or the wild turkeys walking through the yard to get to the bird feeders. A telescope is available for checking out all the action on the cove. For the professional or amateur artist, Day's End puts you in the heart of Cushing's Art Community. Alan Magee, Wyeth and Caponigro make Cushing their home. Visit the famous Olson House (which you can see from the mooring) or drop in at The Art in The Barn free weekend gallery series that features a different artist each week throughout the summer. An art table is set up for your inspiration overlooking the St. George River, Maple Juice Cove and Stone Point. For your comfort, there are three bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths; 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full - plus a Queen Sofa Futon in the family area of the eat-in kitchen. A Jenn-air duel fuel convection stove, a freestanding GAS wood stove, dinning table for six and the washer/dryer complete the functional and convenient kitchen/family area. A gas grill sits outside the kitchen sliders along with patio table and chairs on the 16 X 20 rear deck. The front porch provides a shady respite for watching the occasional jogger or biker go by on a sunny morning. The Livingroom/Library is cozy with two recliners adjacent to the river-rock wood burning fireplace. Cable TV is available in three rooms at Day's End for the couch potato in all of us.

All rentals subject to Maine sales tax of 8.5%. A $250 security deposit is also required.

In the event that you must cancel your reservation, notify our office immediately by telephone, then follow up with a letter. Cancellations must be in writing and may be e-mailed or faxed. We will make every effort to re-rent the property, however we cannot guarantee re-rental. If you cancel before 30 days prior to your arrival and we are able to re-rent the property, all moneys (less cancellation fee of 25% of the reservation deposit) will be returned to you after our receipt of the re-booking payment. If we are unable to re-rent, the full advance payment will be forfeited. If cancellation is made within 30 days of occupancy, full rental moneys will be forfeited unless re-rented at the same rate and for the same dates. If property is re-rented the 25% cancellation fee applies.
